Subban Invited to World Junior Selection Camp

Bulls goaltender Malcolm Subban is among the four goaltenders invited to Canada's World Junior Team Selection Camp in Calgary, Alberta from December 10-15th.

Subban, who holds a 13-7-3-0 record joins Owen Sound's Jordan Binnington, Saginaw's Jake Paterson and Edmonton's Laurent Brossoit at the camp as the four will battle for roster spots.

Subban has been brilliant in Belleville this season, ranking fourth in OHL goals against average at 2.23 and fourth in save percentage at .931. When he's made upwards of 30 saves in a game this season, Subban is 9-4-1-0.

The group to represent Canada at the 2013 World Junior Hockey Championships in Ufa, Russia will be named on Thursday, December 13th. They'll play in two pre-competition games in Helsinki, Finland prior to beginning tournament play.

Among the 37 players invited to the camp, 31 are NHL draft picks. Six returning players are on the roster in Ryan Strome, Mark Scheifele, Jonathan Huberdeau, Boone Jenner, Dougie Hamilton and Scott Harrington.

Subban will be with the Bulls throughout the week and into the club's weekend road trip to Kitchener and Owen Sound before departing for camp.

Canada will play it's first game of the 2013 IIHF Tournament on Boxing Day against Finland at 4am on TSN.
