CORNWALL, ON - Six Of the 84 16 year-old players in attendance at the Ontario Final Under-17 Selection Camp this week are property of the Belleville Bulls. Niki Petti, Daniel De Sousa, Michael Cramarossa, Nik Coric, Connor Cobbold and Colton Keuhl are each trying to make an impression on Ontario's staff, led by General Manager and Bulls Assistant GM Barclay Branch.
Those players selected from Cornwall's camp will represent Team Ontario in the 2013 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Drummondville and Victoriaville, Quebec beginning December 29th.
Last season 22 OHL players helped Team Ontario capture the bronze medal at the 2012 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Windsor.
The Bulls are encouraged to see that Petti, who was injured during the team's Spring Orientation Camp, is back to full strength and ready to compete for a spot on the provincial squad.
De Sousa, Cramarossa and Coric, the team's second, third and fifth round selections were all impressive in the intrasquad games played in Belleville back in May.
Cobbold, who is the younger brother of Mississauga Steelheads forward Spenser Cobbold, was the Bulls' 11th round pick in 2012 from the Ottawa Valley Titans Minor Midget program.
Keuhl was the Bulls' 15th round selection this past spring and has caught the eyes of Ontario brass. He was a high achiever during the Bulls' fitness testing at the Orientation Camp.
You can catch all six of these prospects when the Bulls open their training camp on Wednesday, August 29th at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre.
